This is not an Arab Spring. It is an Arab Revolution
This event is jointly organized by the Middle East en North Africa Research Group and the Communities, Comparisons and Connections Research Group.
Koert Debeuf is the author of Inside the Arab Revolution. Three years on the front line of the Arab Spring (Lannoo Campus, 2014). He lives in Cairo, where he represents the EU parliament’s ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrat’s for Europe) group. He is the former advisor of a Belgian prime minister. Reporting from post-revolutionary Egypt, his blog is a window on events in the Arab world.
His lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with Brecht De Smet and Maher Hamoud, moderated by Christopher Parker.
