Critical Global Studies:
interdisciplinary entry points for research
The Research Seminar of the Ghent Centre for Global Studies is on offer as an intensive specialized course of the Doctoral Schools of Ghent University.
For this academic year we have developed the programme ‘Critical Global Studies: interdisciplinary entry points for research’, based on the handbook Framing the Global: Entry points for research (ed. Hillary Kahn, Indiana University Press, 2014). After an introductory session, we will have 5 seminar taught by 2 professors of the Ghent Centre for Global Studies (coming from a different discipline), and a closing master class by Anne Griffiths, professor of Anthropology of Law at the University of Edinburgh and author of the chapter on ‘Land’ in Framing the Global. For a detailed outline of the course, see the course page on the UGent online teaching platform Zephyr.
How to find the course on Zephyr and register? Login with CAS (or as a non-UGent user), ‘inschrijven op cursussen’, search for ‘Global Studies Research Seminar’ (course code X000363) and then register. Registration will close on Monday 20 January.
